Picture-perfect Danang mural village

VOV.VN - The first-ever mural village in the central city of Danang has attracted many young people with its colourful paintings in recent days.

A series of murals adorn the walls of alley No. 75 on Nguyen Van Linh Street in Hai Chau District, the colourful alley was officially opened on April 28. It draws hundreds of snap-happy visitors every day.

The art project is the product of a collaboration between the youth union of Phuoc Ninh Ward in Hai Chau District and Da Nang city’s Fine Arts Association and the Architecture University.
The mural village features dozens of paintings depicting scenes of old Danang with street vendors, folk games, and traditional festivals.

Many visitors are impressed by a mural of Dien Hai Citadel where victory was secured against French-Spanish coalition forces in 1858.

The village has become a favourite destination for young people in recent days.
There are plans for a homestay service and souvenir shops to be put into operation in the village, which will help to promote tourism in Danang City.
