Phu Quoc: Island paradise of unspoiled beauty

VOV.VN - The pristine green forests and alluring white sand beaches of Phu Quoc Island are a great travel destination for those seeking sunshine, relaxation, water activities, fresh air and great seafood.

Approximately 65,000 residents call the 600 square km-island home.

Located 115km from Rach Gia, Kien Giang Province, the island is noted for many alluring tourist sites such as Hon Thom Isle, Dinh Cau with countless secluded idyllic beaches.

Tourists have been flocking to the island in greater numbers on holidays, most notably TET, making it difficult to get hotel reservations unless travel plans are made well in advance.

Phu Quoc now has many first-rate resorts the likes of Huong Bien, Kim Hoa, Tropicana, Thang Loi and the Sai Gon-Phu Quoc Resort.

The Sai Gon-Phu Quoc Resort has been rated as the nation’s first three-star island resort by the Vietnam Tourism General Department.

Kien Giang Province has been regularly upgrading tourist facilities to make the islets and beaches of the island better resort locations with plenty of access to swimming, yachting, surfing and scuba diving.
