Lantern street in Hanoi excites crowds as Mid-Autumn Festival draws near

VOV.VN - Located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Phung Hung street has become a popular destination for those looking to snap beautiful photos, in addition to a cultural space ideal for both city dwellers and visitors looking to view the numerous colourful lanterns ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival.s

Alongside Hang Ma street, Phung Hung street has become a popular place to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi.
Many of the lanterns on display were put out a week ago, covering roughly 300 metres along Phung Hung street.
The street is a favourite check-in spot among visitors, particularly young people looking to take beautiful photos.
The lanterns on display feature patterns such as flowers, drums, and carp.
Phung Hung street first opened to visitors last year and is most notable for its murals which highlight the cultural values of Hanoi’s thousand-year-old history. A total of 17 mural paintings can be found along the street with many being made by artists from Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
Many toy stalls have been set up along the street for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
