Chang Son - Hanoi’s wooden fan-making village

About 30 km from Hanoi city center in the Northwest, Chang Son is a famous traditional craft village for its sophisticated and creative wooden hand fans in Hanoi. 

Although it has existed for hundred years, the craft village deftly changes wIth the development of the country, both to preserve and inherit the tradition of their homeland and promote national culture. 
Coming to Chang Son, you can visit production processes of traditional hand fans, and see  countryside landscape that villagers try to keep before the nonstop changes of the country.
Today, Vietnam on the path of innovation has convenient technology products, a functional replacement for wooden hand fans. However, there is still historical and aesthetic value that are only found in the craft Chang Son hand fans and no technology can replace them.
