US photographer documents Hanoi through the years
VOV.VN - US photographer William E. Crawford photographed the daily lives of Hanoians after the nation was reunified in 1975.
William E Crawford was one of the first western photographers to visit northern Vietnam after the war ended in 1975. He arrived in Hanoi in 1985 with four former US veterans. He regularly documented Hanoi, its people and the surrounding countryside from 1985 to 2015. Pictured is House 222 on Hang Bong Street in 1986. |
