Touching photos depict love for Truong Sa archipelago

VOV.VN - 120 touching, lively photos by 12 Vietnamese journalists and photographers are on displayed at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Exhibition Hall in Hanoi to mark the 54th anniversary of the first victory of the Vietnam People's Navy.

The photo exhibition entitled "Truong Sa in our hearts” is open from August 2 to 5.
The exhibited pictures were selected from thousands of photos taken by 12 journalists and photographers during their trips to Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, describing the beauty of the islands, telling stories about the lives of islanders and soldiers, and conveying love from mainlanders to Truong Sa.
The opening ceremony is attended by Nguyen The Ky, Member of the Party Central Committee and President of Radio Voice of Vietnam; Colonel Le Xuan Thuy, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People's Navy; and representatives of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
In his opening address, Mr. Nguyen The Ky says exhibition goers will feel closer to their hearts Truong Sa people and soldiers, who are day and night protecting the national sea and island sovereignty.

Songs in praise of Vietnam's beloved islands and naval soldiers are performed.
 
Colonel Le Xuan Thuy says the exhibition communicates and educates people, especially young people, awareness and responsibility for safeguarding the nation's sea and islands.
 
A sand grain, a leaf, weed, or a domestic animal in Truong Sa can provide a wealth of inspiration for journalists and photographers.
VOV journalist My Tra introduces her works to VOV President Nguyen The Ky and Colonel Le Xuan Thuy.
 
Items taken from Truong Sa are on displayed, including sea shells, square-shaped Terminalia fruits, and border marker miniatures.
"Color of Truong Sa" postcards are sold at the exhibition to raise funds for the "Green Truong Sa" program, which provides water filters for An Bang Island in Truong Sa archipelago.
 
The exhibition spreads the love of Truong Sa to Vietnamese people and foreign friends.
