Six seaside destinations for a National Day escape

VOV.VN - As it is almost time for Vietnam’s National Day (September 2), here are some suggestions for relaxing holiday destinations around the country.

Cat Ba Archipelago, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is Vietnam’s largest limestone archipelago with 388 islands, covering a total area of 336sq.km in Cat Hai District of Hai Phong City. The most famous destination is Lan Ha Bay, which links Ha Long Bay of Quang Ninh province with the archipelago. (Photo: @rcrdb)
Lan Ha Bay is a silk ribbon of green mountains, blue seas and diverse fauna and flora. It is a tranquil, curved body of water home to nearly 400 islands. To fully enjoy the beauty of the limestone islets as well as the landscapes of Lan Ha Bay, tourists should take to the sea in a kayak for some unforgettable views. (Photo: @Leepham)
While in Lan Ha Bay, visitors should not miss a trip to Cat Co beach, Cai Beo ancient village, Viet Hai fishing village, Monkey Island, or Cat Ba National Park. (Photo: Catbaexpress)
Ha Long Bay is a truly unmissable destination for anyone visiting Vietnam. It has been twice recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). Ha Long Bay has been named one of the seven natural wonders of the world. (Photo: @Dungco8194)
Apart from the magnificent islands, the bay also boasts countless beautiful beaches, including Bai Chay. (Photo: @naalyy)
Ly Son Island District in the central province of Quang Ngai consists of three islands: Dao Lon (Big Island), Dao Be (Small Island) and Hon Mu Cu (Mu Cu Islet). (Photo: Minh Hoang)
Located 30km from the mainland, the island district is famous for growing garlic, and has a growing reputation among tourists. (Photo: @pisu.la)
Some favourite 'check-in' places for young people on Ly Son Island are An Binh or Dao Be (Little Island), Cau Cave, Thoi Loi Mountain peak, Hang Pagoda, Duc Pagoda, and Mu Cu Islet. (Photo: @m.e.i_m.e.i)
Located between Danang and Hue cities on the central coast, Lang Co Bay offers a wonderful landscape created by both nature and man. In 2009 it was described as the ‘World's Most Beautiful Bay’ by World Bays. (Photo: @dimitristrochalias)
What also makes Lang Co special is its close proximity to four of Vietnam’s World Heritage sites – the ancient citadel of Hue, the ancient town of Hoi An, My Son sanctuary and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. These tourist attractions are all within a 150km radius of the bay. (Photo: @haftagrami)
Mui Ne beach in the central province of Binh Thuan is famous for the adventure activities on offer, particularly wind-surfing and kite-surfing, due to its warm temperature and clear skies. (Photo: Coline_mrss)
Some other famous places in Mui Ne are Rang each, Hon Rom beach, Suoi Nuoc beach, and Ong Dia stone. (Photo: joo2_design)
Mui Ne also boasts a series of massive sand dunes, which are perfect for sand-boarding. (Photo: @gigi_wander)
25km from Duong Dong town is Bai Sao, one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam thanks to its clear water and long stretches of golden sand. (Photo: @dducviet)
