PM and thousands of revelers attend Dong Da festival

VOV.VN - Dong Da festival is held on the fifth day of the first lunar month to commemorate the victory of King QuangTrung (Nguyen Hue) over Chinese Qing invaders.

Thousands of people flock to Dong Da festival to mark the 228th anniversary of Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory (1789-2017).

 Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives from relevant ministries and agencies attend the festival to commemorate the event. 

 Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc offers incense at Dong Da festival.

 Delegates offer flowers at the statue of King QuangTrung.


 Diverse activities are held during the festival including a procession featuring King QuangTrung’s palanquin and a range of artistic performances in memory of the Tay Son soldiers.







The festival aims to uphold the tradition of patriotism and national pride of the Vietnamese people.
