VOV.VN - Cai Rong Port plays an important role in economic development of Van Don district, Quang Ninh province. It is home to hundreds of fishing vessels. Also from here, passenger ships take visitors to different islands in Quang Ninh.

Nguyen Van Dinh, former deputy head of Cai Rong Port Management Board, said the port was built by people from Van Don district in the 1970s-1980s to facilitate travelling by ships to other islands. |
Around 80 vessels depart from Cai Rong to Co To, Quan Lan, Minh Chau, Ngoc Vung and Thang Loi islands every day. |

According to Dang Ngoc Thiet, head of Cai Rong Management Board the port will be expanded in order to develop Van Don into a special administrative - economic zone. |
