The aftermath of heavy rain continues to create increasingly difficult conditions for those living in the affected areas.
More than 40 people were killed by floods. Houses collapsed and people watched, overcome with grief, as their personal posessions, household contents and livestock were swept away by the rising floodwater.
Roads, schools and gardens are deserted and local people are struggling to survive on rations of instant noodles, many thrown into the depths of poverty after losing their properties and livelihoods.
