During the spring festival, which took place on the 6th day of the 2nd lunar month (March 6 this year), villagers participated in a cooking contest to make traditional cakes along with the traditional chivalry to get a prised piece of a bamboo tree.
Local people believe that the man who touches the decorated bamboo tree will soon have a son and enjoy prosperity and good luck throughout the year.
The bamboo tree was offered by a good family in the village and then taken to the village temple before being decorated for the fighting.
After the religious ritual and cooking contest, hundreds of young men struggled for the lucky tree at Rang village temple.
