Hanoians returning from Da Nang take quick COVID-19 tests
VOV.VN - Local authorities in Hanoi capital have performed an array of quick tests on all people returning from Da Nang city in a bid to halt the transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) among the wider community.
Approximately 21,000 Hanoians who recently returned from Da Nang are scheduled to take part in the mass testing campaign. Pictured is 141 Lo Duc street in Hai Ba Trung district, an address set up to conduct quick tests to detect the deadly virus.
Upon entering the location, local people are required to record their temperature, use hand sanitiser, and wear face masks.
All residents who come here must complete a medical declaration. According to the Ministry of Health’s recommendations, all people who travelled to Da Nang between July 1 and July 29 must do a medical declaration and provide frequent updates about their health status.
After recently returning from Da Nang, Thu Giang, a resident of Hai Ba Trung district says she feels relief and safe after four members of her family have tested negative for COVID-19.
Nguyen Thi Van Anh, director of a healthcare centre in Hai Ba Trung district, notes people across 18 wards are to be tested from July 30 to August 1, following directions issued by Hanoi authorities.
All 79 people tested for SARS-CoV-2 at 141 Lo Duc street on July 30 record negative results.
The swift collection of samples to test for the COVID-19 proves popular among residents.
According to Hanoi mayor Nguyen Duc Chung, the period up to August 12 can be considered crucial. If cases from pandemic-hit areas are controlled well, then the city’s authorities and residents will be able to feel much safer.
