Ha Giang ethnic festival thrills excited crowds in Hanoi

VOV.VN - A festival displaying the traditional culture and delicacies of ethnic minority groups from the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang opened in Hanoi on October 11, with many local people and tourists in attendance.

The Ly Thai To flower garden in Hanoi is hosting the festival.
The venue has been transformed with markets belonging to the H’Mong, Tay, and Dao ethnic groups rebuilt on the site. These special areas prove exciting for those in attendance.
Chairman of the Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son (R) joined with delegates to sample some local Ha Giang tea during the festival.
 
A large number of famous delicacies native of Ha Giang province were introduced to guests during the event.
A range of traditional products from Quan Ba district which are famous nationwide could be found on display at the festival, including forest honey.
Fruit from Quan Ba district was among the most popular products on show.
 
Horse meat, known locally as 'thang co’, is a traditional dish eaten by the Mong ethnic people from the mountainous northwestern region. The dish was also available for visitors to sample at the event.
The crowds in Hanoi were delighted by the art performances put on by ethnic people.
The festival is scheduled to last until October 13.
