Exploring Tien Sa lighthouse in Da Nang

VOV.VN - Apart from the beauty of My Khe beach, Ba Na Hills and Linh Ung pagoda, Da Nang boasts many other attractions, which draw tourists to its romantic natural scenery such as Tien Sa lighthouse.

Situated at a height of 233 metres above the sea level, Tien Sa is one of the oldest lighthouses in Vietnam, having been built by the French in the 1950s.
The lighting system helps vessels in the waters of Hue to navigate after dark.
With a height of 15.6 metres and width of 2.7 metres, this is an ideal destination for visitors to enjoy spectacular views of the sea and sky from on high.

Tien Sa lighthouse is about 17km from the city centre.
Tourists can easily get there by motorbike. There are warnings about dangerous sections and roads to help tourists avoid getting lost. It is advised that tourists should fill up with petrol before departing.
The ideal time to enjoy scenic views is at sunrise and sunset. However, according to the guards of lighthouse, tourists enjoy watching the glowing colours of sunset gradually fade from the blaze of red-yellow light to the darker sky of dusk.

Tourists are advised to depart two hours before sunset to enjoy the scenic views along the road to the Tien Sa lighthouse with stunning vistas of the vast blue sea, the modern city and green trees.

The lighthouse is painted in vintage green and yellow colours. This is considered an ideal check-in point for young people.
