Danang ready for APEC Economic Leaders Week

VOV.VN - The central city of Danang has accomplished an array of construction works to prepare for the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders Week in early November.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort will be served as a good place for senior leaders to stay during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

The resort designed by Bill Bensley, one of the world’s top five architects was put into operation in 2012 and used to be a stopover of numerous internationally acclaimed celebrities and politicians.

A number of resorts in Danang City are also chosen to hold APEC High-level Week meetings.

Danang Exhibition and Convention Centre is located at a resort campus area where a business forum will be held.

The centre has a total investment capital of VND250 billion.

Tien Son Sports Complex will be used as a standby place for roughly 1,200 businessmen. The complex has been upgraded at a total cost of VND84 billion.

Seaside villas are seen as good places for international guests during the economic and political event of paramount importance this year.

International Media Centre is upgraded from the Danang Expo Centre, costing VND178 billion aiming to serve thousands of local and international reporters.

Vinmec Danang International Hospital entered operations on September 27, providing medical services during APEC High-level Week.

The 37 storey Danang Administration Centre.

16 routes have been enlarged to facilitate travel during the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders Week.
