Vietnamese and Chinese tourists admire Ban Gioc - Detian Waterfalls

VOV.VN - A number of Vietnamese and Chinese tourists have enjoyed the experience of going on pilot sightseeing tours of the Ban Gioc (Vietnam) – Detian (China) Waterfall scenic area which straddles the two nation’s border.

The pilot tours officially opens on September 15 for visitors of both countries.

Several groups of tourists from both Vietnam and China complete exit and entry procedures to visit the scenic area.

Vietnamese visitor Nguyen Van An shares that he feels very excited as this is the first time that he has visited the Chinese Detian Waterfall.

Groups of tourists from the two countries are warmly welcomed by the authorities and people of both sides.

They have about five hours to experience and visit some beautiful places around the landscape area, with help given through the dedicated guidance of travel agencies’ tour guides.

The pilot tours will be operated for one year. After the pilot operation period ends, the two sides will evaluate whether or not to proceed to official operation.

The Vietnamese side must purchase insurance for tourists before entering the Chinese scenic area. Meanwhile, tourists from China entering the Vietnamese side are required to purchase tickets for VND70,000 (US$2.9) per person for each visit, inclusive of insurance and exclusive of other service fees.
