Vietnamese players train for FIFA Futsal WC clash with champions Brazil

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national futsal team took part in a training session in Lithuania on September 8 to prepare for the September 13 clash with defending champions Brazil at the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup finals.

The players hold a two-hour long training session, with head coach Pham Minh Giang intensifying exercises for his players.

Giang says that such a hard training session will help the players stay in the best form possible ahead of their games against Brazil on September 13, Panama on September 16, and the Czech Republic three days later.

Minh Tri and his teammates strictly follow all the exercises, with fitness believed to play an important role in improving their physical condition.

Coach Giang guides his players as they practice the counter-attack tactic.

Dinh Hung remains a key player in the team as he has great physical strength and is also capable of scoring long shots.

Ho Van Y receives plenty of praise for his good performance in the play-off match for the World Cup finals. He is expected to make a spectacular performance in the WC finals.

Vietnamese footballers are informed about the application of video support (VS) technology similar to the video assistant referee (VAR) which will be used for the first time during the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup finals.

FIFA also deploys RT-PCR tests for all participants to ensure safety during the tournament. The entire Vietnamese team have been vaccinated and have already tested negative for COVID-19.
