Vietnam NA Chairman Hue’s RoK visit in focus

VOV.VN - A high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam National Assembly (NA) led by NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue paid an official visit to Korea from December 12-15 at the invitation of Park Byeong-seug, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The visit is to give fresh impetus to create new impetus to the Vietnam – RoK Strategic Partnership when the two countries will celebrate 30 years of their diplomacy in 2022. In the photo, Chairman Park welcomes Chairman Hue at a ceremony held in Seoul on December 13.

During high-level talks, the two sides support efforts to lift bilateral relationship to a level of comprehensive strategic partnership next year. They agree to maintain all-level delegation exchanges to outline future cooperation orientations.

The two sides agree to cooperate and exchange experiences in COVID-19 prevention and control, including COVID-19 vaccine and drug protection and technology transfer.

At a meeting between NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and RoK Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, they affirm the two countries’ efforts to raise bilateral trade turnover to US$100 billion by 2023 and US$150 billion by 2030, and encourage Korean enterprises to expand their investment in Vietnam.

NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attends a Vietnam – RoK business forum, calling on RoK businesses to further invest and expand operations in Vietnam.

The two countries ink a government-level social insurance agreement to support bilateral labour cooperation, especially when the numbers of Vietnamese workers sent to the RoK and of RoK workers sent to Vietnam are increasing.

During his stay, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue receives executives of leading businesses in the RoK such as Hyosung, GS Engineering & Construction, KyoboPyun, Amorepacific, Dongwon, and Amkor Technology. In the photo, Hue receives Amkor Technology CEO Ji Jong-rip.
