The inauguration of the Vietnam Exhibition Center coincides with a series of major projects celebrating the 80th National Day of Vietnam (September 2).

Located in Dong Anh commune, the center spans more than 900,000 square metres and is expected to become the largest in Southeast Asia, as well as being one of the 10 biggest exhibition complexes worldwide.

Its centerpiece is the Kim Quy exhibition hall covering a space spanning 130,000 square metres. It is designed to host many large-scale and modern international exhibitions.

The complex features four outdoor exhibition plazas, the VinPalace Conference Center which boasts a capacity of 30,000 guests, a five-star hotel system with over 5,000 rooms, and parking lot to accommodate 30,000 cars.

Those in attendance at the inauguration ceremony of the center include Party General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. Representatives of the Government, ministries, and businesses are also present at the event.
