Unique Vietnamese Ao Dai on Indonesian Batik cloth showcased
VOV.VN - A fashion show presenting Ao Dai, Vietnamese traditional long dress, made from Indonesian Batik cloth was held on April 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is jointly organised by Indonesian Consulate General, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO)’s branch in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ao Dai Museum. Indonesian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Agustaviano Sofjan (R) and his wife in attendance the event.
The fashion show sees the participation of a large number of participants
On October 2, 2009, UNESCO officially recognized the Batik technique as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity from Indonesia.
2009 also saw Vietnamese Quan Ho (love duet) recognised as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
