The event is jointly organised by Indonesian Consulate General, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO)’s branch in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ao Dai Museum. The fashion show sees the participation of a large number of participants On October 2, 2009, UNESCO officially recognized the Batik technique as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity from Indonesia. 2009 also saw Vietnamese Quan Ho (love duet) recognised as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
