He emphasises that Vietnam’s participation in the Board of Peace on Gaza is not only an honour but also a responsibility toward the international community.

Meeting with US President Donald Trump on February 20, General Secretary To Lam affirms that Vietnam consistently attaches importance to and wishes to further advance the Vietnam–United States Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a stable, substantive and effective manner. President Trump responds positively to Vietnam’s proposals on economic and science-and-technology cooperation. He also states that he would direct relevant agencies to soon remove Vietnam from the strategic export control list (D1–D3).

Also meeting with former US Under Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell, the General Secretary suggests that Campbell continue to play an active role as a trusted bridge between Vietnam and the United States, as well as between the business community and international partners. Campbell highly appreciates the General Secretary’s trip to the United States, noting that Vietnam’s participation in the Board of Peace on Gaza clearly demonstrates the country’s proactive role, sense of responsibility, and substantive contributions to peace, stability, and international cooperation.
