Over 2,000 people from civic formations rehearse ahead of National Day parade

From 7 a.m., more than 2,000 participants from 13 civic formations gather at My Dinh National Stadium to join the rehearsal.

Visiting and encouraging the forces, Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, commends the serious sense of responsibility shown by all 13 formations. Despite weather hardships, he says, the contingents have strictly followed the training plan, aiming for the success of the parade.

He notes that this is also an exceptionally meaningful occasion for the civic formations, not only to participate in the parade but also to demonstrate their patriotism through concrete actions.

According to Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Performing Arts Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the formations had already trained from August 12 to 19 at different locations across Hanoi.

From now until August 27, intensive rehearsals will continue at My Dinh National Stadium.

Duong shares that all members are enthusiastic and proud to engage in the mission despite challenging weather conditions.

While this is a civic march, it will feature a high level of artistry. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to create a joyful and uplifting atmosphere, ensuring beautiful parade formations that honour the nation, deliver an impressive performance at the grand ceremony, and multiply national pride on this historic occasion.

The rehearsal involves formations of war veterans, former public security officers, youth, farmers, and cultural-sports representatives, among others.

A grand ceremony marking the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam will be held at Ba Dinh Square at 6:30 a.m. on September 2.
