Russian soldiers arrive in Hanoi for military parade on Vietnam’s National Day
VOV.VN - More than 30 Russian soldiers arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on August 20 to prepare for a military parade on September 2 to mark Vietnam’s 80th National Day.

The welcoming ceremony was organised at the airport where Colonel Phung Chi Cao, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Capital Command, presented flowers and greeted the delegation.
The servicemen were then assisted in completing immigration procedures and transported to their accommodation, where they will begin rehearsals for the parade.
The Russian delegation is one of four foreign military contingents invited to participate in the event, alongside those from China, Laos, and Cambodia.
In mid-August, military contingents from Laos and Cambodia arrived in Vietnam for the rehearsals in the leadup to National Day celebrations.

The first full rehearsal for the 80th National Day is scheduled to take place along central streets of Hanoi at 8 p.m. on August 21. The second rehearsal will be held at 8 p.m. on August 24.
The State-level preliminary review will take place at 8 p.m. on August 27, and the State-level final rehearsal will be conducted at 6:30 a.m. on August 30.
A grand ceremony marking the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam will be held at Ba Dinh Square at 6:30 a.m. on September 2.
