VOV.VN - Da Lat City in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong welcomed the opening of the national futsal championship 2022 on June 14, with the event featuring the participation of nine teams from across the country.

Tran Minh Hung, vice president of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), expresses hope that through this year’s competition, VOV will be able to help encourage sports participation among young people, whilst also seeking out fresh talents for the national team to compete in regional and international tournaments.

The event involves the participation of nine teams from across the country. They compete in a round-robin format with the top four teams progressing to the next round.

The first day of competition sees Thai Son Nam hold Sanvinest Khanh Hoa to a 1-1 draw, while Cao Bang suffers a heavy 2-6 loss to Thai Son Bac.

Moving forward, the winner will go on to represent the country in attending the AFC Futsal Club Championship. This marks the sixth time that VOV, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and HDBank have co-organised a futsal tournament, with all fixtures due to be broadcast live on VOV live channel.
