The mixture is then put onto a hot stove for one hour. Artisans then have to stir the ginger continuously to avoid it burning.

At present, Kim Long ward is home to 20 households who make ginger jam specifically for Tet. Kim Long ginger jams are ordered by traders from Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Ho Chi Minh City throughout the year.
