Truong Thi Tiep, 70, of Hoan Kiem district, says she feels happy and excited to be vaccinated against COVID-19 given the complicated development of the virus.

Nguyen Quoc Hoan, vice chairman of the Hoan Kiem District administration, says as of September 7 nearly 60% of the local population had been vaccinated and the district is currently speeding up the vaccination drive, to ensure 100% of the population will be given their first dose by September 15.

Approximately 2,000 people have been given their first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine on the first day of the evening vaccination drive.
