Hanoi erects checkpoints to control spread of COVID-19

VOV.VN - Police forces in Hanoi deployed checkpoints throughout the capital from the night of September 3 to control the flow of vehicles and people between high-risk areas or red zones, and other parts of the city to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Police Department of Hanoi plans to establish a total of 21 checkpoints at major roads across the capital to control the flow of vehicles and people in and out of red zones. As many as 16 officials, including traffic policemen, soldiers, and healthcare workers are now on-duty at every checkpoint.

Furthermore, approximately 18 checkpoints are situated inside red zones as a means of strictly preventing the spread of COVID-19.

From 7 a.m. on September 4 police forces in Hanoi begin tightening COVID-19 prevention measures at checkpoints on major roads throughout the capital.

Ho Tung Mau street is divided into three lanes, including one green lane specifically for vehicles permitted to pass through the COVID-19 checkpoint.
