Vinamilk gets good export deal at Gulfood 2016

Gulfood Dubai, the Middle East’s leading and largest food, drink, foodservice and hospitality show, drew 4,800 businesses from 170 countries in the world.

Vietnam Dairy Products JSC (Vinamilk) signed a US$12.5 million contract to export powered milk for children immediately on the first day of the event.

Vinamilk has approached the Middle East market and signed many export contracts since 1998. Over the last 5 years, it has gained an average growth of 38% in the market.

Vinamilk is attending Gulfood 2016 with the aim of promoting its image in the Middle East and connecting more clients from neighbouring countries.

Meanwhile, TH True MILK group won three awards at the event. The Gulfood outstanding achievement awards was presented to the group’s president Thai Huong for her contribution to the clean dairy revolution in Vietnam. Two other awards were the Best Health Education Initiative Award and Best New Frozen or Chilled Product.

This is the first time a Vietnam business has won notable awards at the fair.
