Vehicle imports down 6% in volume through 7 months
VOV.VN - The number of vehicles imported through customs points has dropped almost 6% year-on-year to 60,600 during the first seven months of 2016, according to the latest statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The Department said in total the vehicles brought into Vietnam were valued at US$1.42 billion, which was down 17% for the same seven-month period a year ago.
The vehicles included 25,500 light weight vehicles (such as cars, Suv’s, vans, light pickups, jeeps), 26,200 heavy weight trucks, 650 9-seat passenger buses with the balance consisting of specialized classes of large busses and heavy duty construction type vehicles.
