Minh Phu Seafood Group was the one company that was removed from the list of companies that are subject to the dumping margin.
All other Vietnam entities that have not established eligibility for a separate rate are considered by the DOC to be part of the Vietnam-wide entity, which remains at a margin rate of 25.76%.
Tran Van Linh, chair and general director of Thuan Phuoc Seafood & Trade Company said Vietnam shrimp exporters have faced many difficulties competing with others in the very price competitive US market.
Mr Linh said this decision by the DOC represents a serious blow to Vietnam shrimp exporters as it puts Vietnam at a serous disadvantage competing with other major shrimp exporters in Southeast Asia and around the globe.
