Korean strawberries cleared for Vietnamese market

VOV.VN -  Beginning on February 1, fresh strawberries from the Republic of Korea (RoK) can be shipped to Vietnam, according to the RoK Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA).

The move, long sought after by RoK officials, is expected to result in a corresponding move by the RoK to allow more Vietnam fruit and vegetables into that country.

The MAFRA said the ministry will issue guidelines on specific quarantine conditions and procedures in the very near future.

According to official statistics, in 2015, the RoK shipped 3,313 metric tons of fresh strawberries to more than 20 nations around the globe.
