Vinh Phuc horse track one step closer to becoming reality

VOV.VN - On December 27, a proposed massive new multi-use horse racing facility in the province of Vinh Phuc came one step closer to becoming reality with the signing of an updated agreement.

The complex will span more than 20 hectares of land and consist of a straightaway horse track, grand stand seating, an entertainment facility, at least two 50-stall horse barns, 1,500 parking spaces with commercial lots set aside for business and hotel development.

The facility, if approved and constructed, is anticipated to bring around 5,000 jobs and millions in annual tax revenue to the province, with most of these those jobs being permanent positions.

However, the preliminary development plan still must be approved by the Prime Minister before any construction work could begin. As well, funding for the project would still need to be secured.

The Vinh Phuc People’s Committee and Korean GOMAX I&D Company signed the updated memorandum of understanding on December 27 upon information and belief that a favourable decision by the Prime Minister is likely to be issued soon.
