US expert values Vietnam’s mobile app development
(VOV) - Dr. Michael Mandel, Chief economic strategist at the Progressive Policy Institute in Washington has said that developing apps for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets has been one of the most dynamic fields in Vietnam.
During the September 10 talks to introduce the draft report on Vietnam’s mobile app development field, Dr. Mandel considered the development of Vietnam’s mobile sector the strongest in Southeast Asia
The draft report estimates that Vietnam has about 29,000 job opportunities relating to software development, such as programmers or developers
Dr Mandel suggested that Vietnam should further invest in human resources and talent as the country is only in the initial stage of the Internet development cycle. Vietnam has the potential to become the centre of the mobile app development sector in the global economy, he added
During the talks, experts from the Progressive Policy Institute in Washington shared information with Vietnamese organisations and businesses to complete the draft report on Vietnam’s mobile app development field and warned of possible obstacles which might affect the development of digital technology in Vietnam.
