Sacombank signs MoU with three Japanese banks

VOV.VN - Sacombank has signed a memoranda of understanding (MoU) with three Japanese banks to explore the possibility of aligning themselves in a joint venture in the Vietnamese financial marketplace, according to widely publicized reports.

The banks are exploring the amount of investment it would take to broaden services currently provided by Sacombank to Japanese companies and get their staff up to snuff and adequately trained to deal with Japanese customers.

“The market in Vietnam is a highly attractive destination for Japanese companies,” said Mr Kazuhiro Higashi, president of Resona Holdings, one of the Japanese banks.  The purpose of this MoU is to see what the possibilities are for profitably developing the customer base.
