Japan collaborates with Danang on Lien Chieu Port upgrade

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan has agreed to provide assistance to Danang Port in connection with a feasibility study of proposed renovations to the Lien Chieu Port. 

The Danang Port plans to renovate the Lien Chieu Port to ease congestion at the overloaded Tien Sa Port.  Efforts are currently underway to complete the upgrade to the port by 2020.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment in turn has announced it will work with the Japan International Cooperation Agency to fund the project, which it said is expected to cost US$360,000.
