Amway opens US$25 million facility in Binh Duong

(VOV) - Amway, the world’s largest network marketing company, on September 10 inaugurated a US$25 million factory at the Vietnam-Singapore II Industrial Park in southern Binh Duong province.

The new 54,675 square metre facility is the company’s second in the country and will be devoted to the production of the company’s Nutrilite brand of vitamins and dietary supplements.

The company’s other factory is located at Dong Nai province.

Both facilities are near Ho Chi Minh City, the base for the company’s Vietnam operations, where Amway has been conducting business since 2009.

“The facility has three production lines and is expected to churn out 23 million products per year, creating 170 good paying full time jobs,” said a company representative at the inauguration ceremony.

The new facility is part of Amway’s US$375 million global aggressive manufacturing expansion as it seeks to bring more manufacturing in house for better quality control rather than rely on outside contractors.
