Zalopay expands QR payment feature to six Asian countries
VOV.VN - Vietnamese travelers visiting six Asian countries – China, Singapore, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia – can now make payments easily with the Zalopay app, without the need to exchange foreign currency or open an international credit card.

Zalopay, a leading Vietnamese digital payment platform, announced that its “International QR Scan” feature has officially been launched in China, after already being available in five other regional markets. Users simply open the app, select “Scan QR,” switch the region to the host country, and scan the code at the counter to pay directly in Vietnamese dong.
From shopping malls and tourist attractions to restaurants and small local shops, Vietnamese users can now enjoy seamless and convenient payments abroad just like they do at home.
“Expanding to the Chinese market allows Zalopay to deliver a smooth and convenient payment experience for Vietnamese users wherever they go, while affirming our role as a trusted financial companion. This also lays the foundation for us to extend services to more countries in the future,” said Zalopay CEO Le Lan Chi.
Looking ahead, Zalopay plans to launch a new feature by the end of 2025 that will allow international visitors to make QR payments in Vietnam using Visa or Mastercard credit cards issued from any country, further strengthening global payment integration.
