YCH eyes multimodal logistics centre project in central Vietnam
VOV.VN - Singapore’s YCH group highly appreciates the development potential of Da Nang city and wishes to invest in a multimodal logistics center in the Lien Chieu port area, said Robert Yap, executive chairman of YCH Group, during his recent meeting with the Da Nang leadership.

Meeting with Le Trung Chinh, chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang city, Yap described Da Nang as an important traffic and freight transit hub with great economic development potential.
YCH therefore sees significant opportunities for investment in a multimodal logistics center in the Lien Chieu port area, he said.
Chinh for his part welcomed YCH’s interest in investment opportunities in Da Nang, and pledged full support to facilitate the group’s research and implementation of strategic projects in the Lien Chieu port area.
Briefing his guest on the operational model of Lien Chieu port, Chinh said, the port is located at the end point of the East-West economic corridor and has a design capacity of 50 million tonnes per year.
Da Nang aims to develop the Lien Chieu port area into an international gateway port to attract large transport and logistics companies from around the world, he said.
Founded in 1955, YCH is a leading global supply chain solutions provider and a logistics partner for major companies in high-tech, electronics, chemicals, healthcare, and consumer goods industries worldwide.
In Vietnam, the group has partnered with T&T to invest in the Vietnam SuperPort (VPS) multimodal logistics center, covering 83 hectares in Vinh Phuc province. This center has a designed cargo capacity of approximately 530,000 TEU, with a total investment of US$166 million.
Vietnam SuperPort is the first and largest multimodal logistics center in the country, aiming to enhance Vietnam's integration into the global supply chain, reduce logistics costs, and increase competitiveness in international trade.
At present, YCH plans to invest in a multimodal logistics centre in Vietnam’s central and southern regions and explore co-operation opportunities in human resource training and technology solutions in the logistics field.
