VND165.8 trillion worth of G-bonds raised in 2018

Nearly VND165.8 trillion (US$7.12 billion) worth of government bonds (G-bonds) were raised by the State Treasury of Vietnam in 2018, according to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

At the last auction of G-bonds in 2018 that took place at the HNX on December 26, the State Treasury of Vietnam collected VND4.31 trillion (US$185.32 million).

The auction offered VND10 trillion worth of G-bonds with 10-year and 15-year maturities. 

The auction of 10-year bonds mobilised VND4.3 trillion (US$184.89 million) at an annual interest rate of 5.1%, equaling that of the previous auction on December 19. 

Meanwhile, 15-year bonds were purchased with a total value of VND10 billion (US$430,000) and an interest rate of 5.3%, the same as the previous auction.
