Vingroup, VinFast sign MoU with top firms in Middle East
Vingroup and its subordinate automaker VinFast signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation with four leading companies in the Middle East on October 29 during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the UAE.
These MoU cover cooperation in maritime development and shipbuilding, sustainable exploitation of marine land, digital transformation, and electric vehicles and green transport.
Vingroup signed the MoU with AD Ports Group - a UAE port and logistics developer, NMDC - a marine infrastructure company, and Benya Technologies - a provider of digital and ICT solutions.
Meanwhile, VinFast signed the MoU with Emirates Driving Company (EDC) for collaboration in electric vehicles and driver training.
The MoU with AD Ports Group will focus on enhancing Vingroup’s shipbuilding, shipping and port service capabilities in Vietnam, while NMDC will assist Vingroup in coastal projects on sustainable real estate development.
Benya and Vingroup will jointly explore the possibility of developing a big data centre and its technical, electrical and water infrastructure with a combined investment of 3.5 billion USD. The data centre, expected to be developed in three stages, will meet digital infrastructure needs of both domestic and international firms and contribute to local socio-economic development.
Meanwhile, EDC will collaborate with VinFast in electric vehicle development and contribute expertise in driving safety training in Vietnam. EDC will also lead a joint venture to invest in VinFast.
