VinFast officially puts VF 5 on sale in Indonesian market
VOV.VN - VinFast, the electric vehicle maker of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, officially launched the right-hand drive version of the VF 5 in Indonesia on July 1.
Specifically, the VF5 has a listed price of IDR310,000,000, equal to about US$18,964 in the Indonesian market.
In addition, VinFast also offered an attractive battery rental policy in an effort to meet the diverse travel needs of local consumers.
The battery rental cost stands at US$58.9 per month for a maximum travel distance of 1,500 km, about US$86.4 per month for a maximum travel distance of 3,000 km, and about US$141.4 per month for a travel distance of over 3,000 km.
With the battery rental policy, the VF 5 in the market is to be sold at IDR242,000,000, equal to US$14,802.
Most notably, local customers will be provided with the best genuine warranty policy, with a term of up to seven years or 160,000 km for the vehicle, and eight years with unlimited distance for the battery.
Temmy Wiradjaja, general director of VinFast Indonesia, emphasised that VinFast has been proud to introduce the second EV model in Indonesia, affirming its full commitment to accelerating the electrification of transportation with modern, smart, and safe products.
The official launch of the VF 5 marks an important milestone in the firm’s journey aimed at conquering the Indonesian EV market, he noted.
To date, VinFast has already put the VF e34 model on sale and moved to open a dealership in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta. It has already devised plans to build a local EV manufacturing plant in Indonesia with a projected capacity of 50,000 cars annually.
