Vietnamese young entrepreneurs in Europe unite for a shared future
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs Association in Europe was officially launched in Berlin on February 28, with a view to connecting young Vietnamese entrepreneurs across the continent, boost cooperation, and contribute to the development of both Europe and Vietnam.

On the same day, the Association’s Executive Board also held an inauguration ceremony at the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin. The event, which was streamed live to multiple locations across Europe, was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Vu Quang Minh, along with Political-Economic, Trade, Science-Technology, and Investment Counselors, as well as other embassy officials.
Ambassador Vu Quang Minh commended the founders for their initiative and swift efforts in establishing the Association. He emphasized that now is a crucial and favorable time for young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe to strengthen their networks and contribute more actively to both their second homeland and their country of origin. He also underscored the Association’s role in promoting deeper Vietnam-EU ties, particularly as both sides mark 35 years of diplomatic relations and work toward a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Beyond connecting Vietnamese-owned businesses in Europe, the Association seeks to establish links with Vietnamese enterprises investing in the region. Its structure includes an Advisory Board of experts from various fields, along with specialized committees focused on Business & Investment, Legal & Tax Affairs, Technology & Digital Transformation, Startup Support, External Relations & International Cooperation, and Media & Events.
Do Tien Thinh, deputy director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), noted that the Association’s launch aligns with Vietnam’s ambitious new phase of development. He expressed hope that it would collaborate with NIC in tackling innovation challenges, both as a business entity and as part of a broader network, while fostering knowledge exchange and mutual support within the Vietnamese entrepreneurial ecosystem. He also highlighted the potential for Vietnamese enterprises in Europe not only to expand globally but also to reinvest in Vietnam.
Tran Ha My, President of the Association, shared the vision of creating a strong business network that serves as a bridge for investment flows and technology transfer to Vietnam while actively engaging in policy advocacy between Europe and Vietnam.
The Association’s founders recognize a key challenge: young Vietnamese professionals in Europe, especially second- and third-generation entrepreneurs, remain largely disconnected, particularly in the business sphere. To address this gap, the Association aims to boost intra-European ties within the Vietnamese business community while enhancing connections with Vietnam. It also seeks to support its members in overcoming cultural barriers, creating a vibrant and ambitious network that embodies the spirit of a rising Vietnam on the global stage.
In the near term, the Association plans to host an annual flagship event in collaboration with other organizations, alongside a series of monthly networking activities. These include business breakfast meetings designed to connect Vietnamese enterprises with European partners, with embassies playing a key intermediary role in co-organizing the events.
