Vietnamese enterprise targets deeper penetration into Latin American market

This statement was made by Jorge Márquez, the minister in charge of Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management of Venezuela, at a recent reception held for a delegation of VIGLACERA Corporation led by Tran Ngoc Anh, deputy general director of the firm, which is on a working visit to Venezuela to explore co-operation and investment opportunities.

Venezuelan Minister of Industry and Production José Félix Rivas Alvarado emphasized that the friendly and co-operative relations between the two nations have continued to see positive development over recent times. The two countries are in their most favourable period of ties as they seek to bolster co-operation across multiple areas, including construction which can better serve people's lives.

At the working sessions, Anh briefed the Venezuelan officials on VIGLACERA’s operations, outlining that the corporation is the largest construction material manufacturer in Vietnam and is currently on the list of the 20 largest tile manufacturing corporations in the world. Indeed, the company distributes products in over 40 countries, including markets with high product quality requirements such as the United States, Europe, and Canada.

Regarding international linkages, Anh said that VIGLACERA currently has maintained business relationships with more than 500 businesses globally. Specifically in Latin America, since 2018 the Corporation has invested in Cuba's Mariel Special Development Zone, as well as contributing capital to set up SANVIG Construction Material Production Joint Venture Company and first launching products back in 2019.

Anh went on to express his desire for leaders of Venezuelan ministries and sectors to pay greater attention to and offer optimal conditions for VIGLACERA products to swiftly be available in the Venezuelan market. This is along with carrying out research activities and exploring investment opportunities in the Venezuelan market moving forward.

As part of the occasion Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My extended sincere thanks to leaders of Venezuelan ministries and sectors for their efforts aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and supporting VIGLACERA.

The Vietnamese diplomat said that the Party and Government of Vietnam consider economic diplomacy as an important driving force for national development and a factor that helps to improve the overall effectiveness of supporting the business community in its efforts to achieve deeper penetration into the world market, including Latin American countries in general and Venezuela in particular.

During the working visit to Venezuela from September 20 to September 24, the delegation of VIGLACERA Corporation also worked alongside Minister of Population and Housing Ildemaro Villarroel, had a host of meetings with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Venezuela Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as visiting a number of businesses operating in the field of construction material business and production.

Earlier, on the occasion of the visit to Vietnam by the high-ranking delegation of the Dominican Republic in February, Nguyen Anh Tuan, general director of VIGLACERA, also announced a plan to send a survey delegation to the Latin American country to learn more about the market, thereby devising an investment project to build an industrial park for construction material production.
