Tableware, kitchenware, household goods, and leisure items as well as gifts, interior decoration, and interior design with be showcased.
According to organizers, Vietnam has about 65 companies registered to attend Ambiente 2020 while others are on the waiting list as booths are yet to be arranged.
Vietnamese companies in the “Living” category, which provide interior decoration items and handicrafts, account for the majority of registrations.
According to Mr. Stephan Kurzawski, Senior Vice President of the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, the furniture business in Europe is declining 10-15 per cent annually but furniture exports from Vietnam to other countries are increasing by 25 per cent.
Ambiente regards this as clear evidence of the potential in promoting the development of Vietnamese businesses in the field.
Many Vietnamese businesses have become famous exporters in part due to large orders struck at Ambiente, such as the Minh Long Co., Haca Vietnam, and the Duc Thanh Wood Processing JSC, among others.
Notable brands in handicrafts, including the Artex D&T Co., the Bac Ninh Handicraft Production and Import and Export Co., the Hasa Vietnam Co., and the Lacquerworld Co., have attended Ambiente in recent years to seek opportunities to increase their exports to international markets.
Mr. Kurzawski added that through the fair, interior decoration items and handicrafts from Vietnam are preferred by German and European buyers and consumers.
Exhibitors from over 90 countries and territories will act as trendsetters in and beyond Ambiente 2020.
The organizers are also planning to expand to the Dining category, and the new HoReCa hall will be the perfect port of call for national and international decision-makers in the hospitality segment.
“In the future, our visitors will be able to focus even more closely on topics at the interface between hospitality, tableware, and interior design,” Mr. Kurzawski said.
Ambiente 2020 will once again be hosting numerous prestigious award ceremonies, including The German Design Award, The Industrial Designer Sebastian Bergne, The Kitchen Innovation Award, the Plagiarius Anti-Award, and the Tableware International Awards of Excellence.
The trade fair is expected to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors. The last Ambiente featured 4,460 exhibitors from 92 countries and territories, attracted 136,000 trade visitors from 167 countries and territories, and presented classic and innovative products.
