Vietnamese coffee sets new export price record at over US$5,658 per tonne
VOV.VN - The average export price of Vietnamese coffee in the first nine months of the year reached a record high of US$5,658 per tonne, up 45.3% from the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MoAE).

Agro-forestry-fishery products recorded impressive growth, generating over US$52.31 billion in export revenue, up 14% year on year. Among them, coffee emerged as a standout performer, with export turnover surpassing US$6.9 billion for the first time.
The volume of coffee exports reached 1.2 million tonnes, increasing by 11.1%, while the export value rose sharply by 61.4% due to the strong increase in export prices. Key European markets such as Germany, Italy, and Spain recorded export growth rates above 40%, indicating a global coffee supply chain shift toward Vietnam.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, the US imposing a 50% reciprocal tariff on Brazilian goods has made Brazilian coffee imports to the US more expensive, creating a significant opportunity for Vietnamese coffee to gain additional market share.
In Europe, the enforcement of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been postponed until the end of 2026. Vietnam is among the few coffee-exporting countries that are well-prepared to meet the new standards, further strengthening its position in the European market.
Given these favourable developments, Vietnam's coffee industry is expected to continue its strong performance and achieve further export milestones in the coming time.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment forecast that in the fourth quarter, agricultural exports would continue to improve thanks to seasonal festival demand and high global agricultural commodity prices. The entire sector expects to exceed US$70 billion in export turnover for 2025.
