Vietnamese coffee chain expands to India with six stores

VOV.VN - Vietnamese coffee brand Three O'Clock has officially entered the Indian market through an international franchising partnership, launching three stores simultaneously on November 8 in the city of Gurugram.

The new locations are situated at Elan Epic Mall, AIPL Joy Central, and AIPL Business Club, mixed-use complexes combining Grade-A offices, retail, dining, and entertainment in prime areas of the city.

Located about 30 kilometers from New Delhi, Gurugram is a major financial, industrial, and IT hub, and is also known for its strong medical and luxury tourism sectors.

According to expansion plans, franchise partner FranGlobal will open three additional stores in November and December, bringing the total to six in the initial rollout. Two new outlets are set to launch this month at major shopping centers in Gurugram, followed by a sixth store at Airia Mall in early December.

Gaurav Marya, Chairman of FranGlobal, said that India with about 65% of its population under the age of 35, is a promising market for international franchise brands. While traditionally a tea-oriented country, coffee culture is becoming increasingly popular among young consumers. FranGlobal aims to scale the brand to around 300 stores within five years and has already entered secondary franchise agreements to expand to Gujarat and Hyderabad by early 2026.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Phi Van, Chair of the Vietnam Franchise and Licensing Network, emphasized that Three O'Clock’s overseas expansion marks a histromic milestone for the Vietnamese franchising sector, thus demonstrating the capacity to export not only products but business models and brand value.

She expressed confidence that in the next two years, more Vietnamese brands, including small and medium-sized enterprises, will establish a presence in the global market.

India is the first market in the Indian subcontinent where FranGlobal is deploying its store network following a franchising agreement signed with Teatime in early 2025. Under this agreement, FranGlobal is committed to developing at least 100 stores across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh within the next decade.
