Vietnamese AI startup secures US$1 million from leading investment funds
VOV.VN - Vietnamese AI startup Filum AI announced on March 18 that it has successfully raised US$1 million from prominent investment funds in the region, including Nextrans, VinVentures, TheVentures, and other strategic investors.

Among its key backers are Hung Tran, founder of Got It, AIforVietnam.org, and SteamForVietnam.org, as well as Tran Anh Dung, founder of MOG.
Founded in 2020 by experts from Silicon Valley and Vietnam, Filum AI focuses on helping businesses achieve sustainable growth through AI-powered customer experience (CX) management solutions.
Despite a global slowdown in startup funding, Filum AI’s successful capital raise underscores investors' confidence in its technological capabilities, strategic vision, and potential to create real business value.
"This is one of the rare startups with strong technological expertise and a clear strategic direction, offering practical value for businesses," a VinVentures representative stated. Notably, this investment marks one of VinVentures’ first deals since its launch in October 2024.
The fresh capital will enable Filum AI to expand its R&D team, accelerate product development, enhance customer support, and strengthen its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
Tran Van Vien, CEO of Filum AI, expressed confidence that the funding will serve as a catalyst for the company to advance AI innovation, optimize operational costs, and elevate customer experience.
"As AI becomes an irreversible trend, this fundraising will unlock vast opportunities for financial investment and technology cooperation, helping Vietnam become a leading AI hub in the region," Vien emphasized.
