Vietnam to attend Semiconductor Southeast Asia 2025 Exhibition in Singapore

VOV.VN - Vietnam will send a delegation to participate in the Semiconductor Southeast Asia 2025 Exhibition (SEMICON SEA 2025) to be held in Singapore from May 20 to 22, according to the National Innovation Center (NIC).

The delegation will comprise prominent Vietnamese enterprises, tech corporations, organisations, institutes, and universities specialising in semiconductors, electronics, AI, and high technology. Notable participants include Viettel, FPT, Becamex, Sovico, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and representatives from localities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bac Giang.

For the first time, the Vietnamese delegation will feature a dedicated "Vietnam Lounge" at the exhibition, serving to promote the Vietnamese semiconductor industry ecosystem, facilitate international partnerships, and drive investment into key strategic sectors.

The participation in the event marks an important milestone for Vietnam in solidifying its role within the global semiconductor and electronics supply chain, says Vu Quoc Huy, director of the NIC.

This represents an opportunity to promote training capacity; develop high-quality human resources; and introduce Vietnam's strong potential in attracting investment, building infrastructure, developing technology, and advanced manufacturing, he adds.

According to Huy, this event not only bridges the gap between universities and young engineers with leading technology corporations, but also creates pathways for substantive collaboration between Vietnamese enterprises and prominent global tech firms.

It also contributes to accelerating the establishment of research, development, and technology demonstration hubs, progressively positioning Vietnam as a vital link in the global semiconductor ecosystem, he says.

SEMICON SEA is the region's premier annual semiconductor industry exhibition that attracts over 500 companies and 20,000 visitors from 65 countries and territories.
