Vietnam Rice Festival to open in Vinh Long on January 7
VOV.VN - The fifth version of the Vietnam Rice Festival will kick off in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long on January 7 after being postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A wide range of activities will be held as part of the event, including competitions on Vietnamese rice and exhibitions on the socio-economic development achievements of Vinh Long province, the Mekong Delta region, and other cities and provinces across the country.
The event will also involve events showcasing the achievements of Vietnamese rice production through the years and One Commune-One Product (OCOP) products.
Most notably, scientists, managers, and businesses will attend a seminar on OCOP products where they will discuss solutions aimed at tackling difficulties and developing the Vietnamese rice brands in both domestic and global markets.
The festival will provide a prime opportunity for businesses to widely introduce their products, find partners, and help build brands within the international market.
The event is scheduled to last through to January 10 and participants are required to follow the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 prevention and control measures, while conducting quick tests each day as a means of curbing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
