Vietnam pledges optimal conditions for UAE businesses

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Government is willing to create favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh stated during the Vietnam-UAE business forum in Hanoi on October 15.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh speaks at the event.
Speaking at the event, the UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori emphasised that aside from promoting two-way trade, the UAE can serve as a strategic "gateway" for Vietnamese businesses looking to make inroads into the markets of other Middle East nations.

Minister Al Mansoori noted that the UAE has always considered Vietnam to be an important partner, in addition to representing an attractive market in Southeast Asia.

Apart from traditional investments such as logistics, ports, aviation, oil, and gas, the UAE side expressed a desire for businesses from both nations to parter and expand their investments in fields such as telecommunications and automobile.

In order to fully tap the potential for future co-operation, the UAE Economic Minister suggested that both Governments should go ahead with greater efforts for trade facilitation and connect each nation’s businesses to boost friendship and bilateral cooperation.

Minister Anh urged the business community of both nations to collaborate closely with the respective state management agencies in order to capitalize on the opportunities in each market, whilst also stepping up co-operation in economics, trade, and investment.

Representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) also proposed that enterprises from the UAE invest in areas such as energy infrastructure, logistics, oil, gas, renewable energy, chemical industry, and supporting industries, among others.

According to the MoIT representatives, there are ample opportunities to invest in the construction of industrial parks in several Vietnam’s potential economic regions, including the Central Highlands, and the south-central and south-west regions.
